Hello Friends! This past weekend we had the pleasure of working with Monica & Evan. They looked beautiful! Usually we have an opportunity to meet Client’s at least one time prior to their Wedding, besides the consultation of course. It gives us a chance to get better acquainted, which in turn makes the Wedding day that much easier and comfortable. We didn’t have an opportunity to shoot with Monica & Evan prior to the Wedding, but honestly, it was easy as pie! Why? Well, I have to tell ya, they’re two of the most chill people I’ve met!

I love Church Weddings! There’s something to be said about the tradition and formalness that comes with Church ceremonies. Plus, Churches always provide a great backdrop. That being said, there is one thing that some times causes me a little grief though. I’ve been trying to find an appropriate solution, but I’m still in a bind. Heres what’s going on. For Weddings, I wear Ecco’s. If you don’t know what those are, they’re pretty much considered “old man’s” shoes. They’re dress shoes, but they’re super soft and super comfy. The two downsides, first off, they’re not the most attractive of styles. Don’t get me wrong, they look good, but not as good as your typical dress shoes do. Secondly, they squeak like no other! Most of the time, it’s fine and I don’t have an issues. This Church’s flooring was my worst nightmare. Ok, imagine being that guy in a quiet library that knocks over a shelf of books!! Ok, now imagine a book of shelves falling over with every step you take!! Not to worry though, I stayed the course. We didn’t miss a single shot! I just sucked it up and hoped I wasn’t annoying anyone too much. If anyone’s got any suggestions, I’m all ears.

The location was a beautiful home overlooking the Pacific Ocean! Literally, there were steps in the backyard that led straight down to the Beach. So, the question is, how much is that worth? Well, I’m not sure how much it’s worth, but the home is being listed for 16 million. So, if you’ve got some spare change laying around

How many people are needed before you can call them a “Band?” Reason I ask is, I’m not sure how to describe the entertainment at the Reception. Ok, so, it was two Brother’s, each with a guitar. Dude! they were fantastic! They played so many covers, I couldn’t believe it! Just imagine “Poker Face” on a guitar. Best part of the night, “Sexy Back” on guitar!!
Monica…Evan…thank you for a great Day! We had a great time working with you guys. Everyone needs to take a lesson from you guys on how to be chill, myself included!
Hello Friends! It’s been a busy past few weeks, but, it’s man, we’ve had good times! The weather in Southern California has been as crazy and unpredictable as I’ve ever seen it. Heat wave for a few days, then, the skies open up and it pours. However, the one thing that this weather produces though…beautiful skies! The skies were perfect for Deanne & Efren’s Wedding…and we had the pleasure of being there. Check it out!

Like I said, beautiful skies. When I first look at this image after getting home, I had to do a double-take. I’ve lived in Southern California most of my life, and I have to tell ya, these aren’t everyday skies. Seriously though, if I hadn’t been the one who shot this image, I’d think that there was some serious Photoshop at work.

I love working at Strawberry Farms! Each time we work there, I find different spots to shoot. If you’ve never had an opportunity to visit, check it out, especially if you play golf! I can’t say enough about the staff there. They’re awesome!

Thank you Deanne & Efren! We had a blast working with you guys! Here’s to a fruitful and long life together!

Hello Friends! It’s great to finally have a chance to update the blog, yes, I know, it’s been quite some time since the last update. Where do I start with Casie & Joey?! Their Wedding was simple, yet as personable and elegant as I’ve seen. The thing is…it perfectly suits their personalities. They’re from San Diego, what else can you say!
Take a look at some the highlights!

Ok, let me tell you something about Casie & Joey, they run Marathons! Yep! I said it…Marathons! Ok, maybe I’m stereotyping a bit, but I always thought Marathoners were ridiculously skinny. Maybe I’ve been watching too much of the Olympics. I seriously have to give huge props to them. I can’t even imagine the satisfaction that they must feel after completing one.

Casie & Joey…thank you guys so much for allowing us to be a part of your day. Here’s to many more Marathons in your future. We’ll see you guys at the Long Beach 1/2!! No, I’m not running it, I’ll be there cheering on others!
See ya all soon.

Erica & Kieran…you guys rock! From our first meeting, to the marathon of an E-Session, and finally, the big day…I couldn’t of asked for a better couple! Let’s see, what makes them awesome? How about the fact that they’re High School sweethhearts? Or their great sense of humor? How about simply the fact that they’re so easy going?! Although, we did have an awkward moment with a tire swing. No need to elaborate, but Erica & Kieran…you guys know what I’m talking about! Check out some of the images from their beautiful Wedding at Strawberry Farms Golf Course. A big thanks to the staff at Strawberry Farms. As always, you guys make working with you a pleasure!

Thank you guys for allowing us to be a part of your day! Honestly, you guys made us feel as though we were guests…not vendors. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you guys. No matter what though, I know that you’ll be smiling and holding hands! Want to check out more from their Wedding? Click here!

Hello friends! Yes, I’ve been neglecting the blog, but I’ve got good reason. Actually, there’s not really a good reason for neglecting the blog, so, I’ll re-phrase. We’ve been crazy busy with work. A good thing, but bad because it’s taken time away from updating. Ok, on to the good stuff…Feny & Dan! What’s there to really say other than…they’re awesome. I know that word gets overused and exaggerated, but honestly, they’re awesome! I’m not at liberty to mention where they met, so, we’ll head straight to the Wedding part
Their Wedding took place at the beautiful Ritz Carlton in Laguna Niguel. Very few words define luxury like “Ritz Carlton.” That place is truly amazing, but the thing I think that makes it a great Hotel is the staff. This Venue holds a special place in our hearts. For those who don’t know, this is where Mezzi and I got engaged. Four years ago this September, we stayed there for Mezzi’s birthday. We had dinner at the Gazebo, I proposed, she said yes, and the rest is history. So, it was great getting a chance to come back. Now, what makes the staff there so amazing? Well, for starters, when Mezzi and I checked in four years ago, everyone…I mean everyone, knew what my plans were. Don’t ask me how they knew, but they did! Not to worry, no one let the cat out. The simplest thing you can do to make someone feel welcomed? Use their names! EVERYONE there called us by name. Once again…don’t know how they knew. The next day after we got engaged…EVERYONE congratulated us as we walked around the Hotel. Now, I’m not just talking about the Front Desk, or the Concierge…even the gardening crew knew! We’re not big-wigs, so, I can imagine that they do this for all their guests. So, to me, that’s what makes this place amazing! The Ocean views aren’t bad either though.![]()
Ok, isn’t this post suppose to be about Feny & Dan? Yes, I’m getting to it…keep your pants on! Check out some of the images from their beautiful Wedding:

I know this has been mentioned before, but I’ll say it again. Get an Engagement Session! It’s such a great opportunity to not only get some images, but more importantly, it give us a chance to get better acquainted with our Clients. So, when the day of the Wedding comes…we show up, high five the Bride and Groom…and then rock’n roll! Yes, that sounds cheese, but it’s soooo true! Theres no awkward “getting to know each other” feeling. Just think of the E-Session as the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd dates! So, when we arrived that day, I think everyone felt right at home. There’s quite a bit of emotion going on the day of…so, the more comfortable we can make you, the more relaxed you’ll be, and the more natural the images can be. Feny made a beautiful Bride, so, it made our jobs a bigger breeze than usual. That combined with the fact that she was abnormally calm…considering.
It was great! We talked, joked, and had a great time!

Alright, here’s a question…what’s the politically correct word for describing the elderly? Is saying “elderly” ok? What about “old” or “older?” Seniors? Well, whatever the word is, I love photographing them! You never quite know what you’re going to get from them. When you think they’re going to be reserved…they end up being party animals…or vice versa. Feny & Dan’s Grandfather looks amazing. He just recently celebrated his 90-something birthday! Man…I only want to live that long if I can look as good in a tux as he did!

The Ritz provides a beautiful backdrop for images. Honestly, you can pretty much grab shots anywhere on the property! Add in an awesome couple like Feny & Dan…and you’ve got yourself a keeper! Well, at least I think so. Why I love this image…that smile on Feny’s face kind of says it all about the day. Nothing, I mean nothing…beats a smile from the heart. Yes, that sound cheese. Most folks tend to be their toughest critics, but if they only could see what we see in them when they truly…I mean truly…smile. Yea, you might think your nose crinkles funny, or you get cross-eyed, or you’ve got something in your tooth, or heck, god forbid you’ve got a zit. Not to worry! Ok, maybe having something in your teeth isn’t good, but it sure would be funny![]()

After a beautiful Ceremony and Reception, what’s left? Here’s to wishing Feny & Dan a lifetime…maybe 90-something years of a healthy and prosperous life with each other. Thank you guys for allowing us to be a part of your day. I think it’s only fitting to end with this image…reflecting about their lives to come…overlooking the Pacific! See ya!
